Good afternoon!

Howdy and good afternoon! I know it's been a while since I've posted anything here. Been a busy time as school has started back in more ways than one...

Vanessa is attending Dyersburg State Community College and working toward her EMT/IV so she can better serve the citizens, family, friends and neighbors around here. I am SUPER proud of her. :-)

Nothing new on the songwriting front... I hosted the Songwriters Open Mic at Lupos this past Tuesday. We were able to play and sing on the patio and had a wonderful turn out! In addition to yours truly Art Wheeler from Jackson, Bobby O'Neal from Memphis and Michael Mays from Memphis (and most recently from Jackson) were there to entertain! One of the best parts of the evening, though, was seeing the people on the patio that were just there to enjoy the evening and the food yet stayed around for the entire music show!

Kyle came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we got to spend quite a bit of time with him! There was one night that we went to Colton's apartment and played Munchkin and FRAG. Good times. :-)

Not much on the songwriting front... I have a fairly new one posted on YouTube and have another two that I need to get recorded, plus we have never recorded the one we did for Colton's wedding... Gotta get that down to... With school starting back I've put the Homegrown CD on hold for a bit, as well as trips to Nashville. They are not cancelled, just on hold. :-) I'm concentrating more on the writing side and less on the performance side.

That being said, though, I am still performing and looking for more opportunities to share my songs, my craft and to generally allow people to have a good time. :-) I'm still looking to do more house concerts while I continue to write, and I'm still subbing in Halls from time to time as well as picking with the Barnetts anytime it's possible.

Be sure to wave at me if you run into me!

So long... and away!
